Using your Babycook, you can effortlessly whip up a creamy, vibrant, and nutrient-packed sauce that conceals heart-healthy fats and greens in every delicious bite
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups (approx. 150g) macaroni or preferred small pasta
- 1 large ripe avocado (pitted and peeled)
- 1 cup fresh baby spinach
- 1/2 cup shredded mild cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup whole milk (or toddler milk drink for younger ones)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (to prevent browning)
- Dash of garlic powder
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
Boil your macaroni on the stove according to package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup of the hot pasta water, and set the pasta aside in a warm bowl or use your pasta/rice and grain insert in your Babycook

2. Steam the Greens
Add the fresh baby spinach to the Babycook steaming basket. Pour water into the reservoir and steam until wilted and tender

3. Blend the Sauce
Place the steamed spinach, ripe avocado, cheddar cheese, milk, lemon juice, and garlic powder directly into the Babycook blending bowl. Blend until the sauce is completely smooth and creamy. Add a splash of the reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick

4. Mix & Serve
Pour the vibrant green sauce over your cooked macaroni and stir until the noodles are evenly coated. Serve warm to your little one!

- Portioning: This sauce stores well, portion out baby-friendly servings ahead of time and keep them in the fridge or freezer

- For Babies under 12 months: Omit the garlic powder and salt, and stick to mild, low-sodium cheese
- For older kids: Add a pinch of salt, freshly ground black pepper, and extra parmesan cheese to taste
